My personal favorite for a double bridle! Often I see horses become heavy in the hand with a double bridle. The Fager Andrea dressage Weymouth bit plastic is a fantastic and valuable alternative to a bit made of (precious) metal!

Available in 2 different "hardnesses" regarding the plastic;

* Soft (light green) – especially for younger and/or sensitive horses who benefit from a soft feel in the mouth.
* Hard (dark green) – for horses who benefit from clearer communication.

  Ideal for horses that need to learn to trust the double bridle, as it promotes acceptance and reduces tension.
• Horses that avoid or reject contact
  The soft rubber encourages them to seek the bit, creating a more stable and confident connection.
• Horses with a dry or sensitive mouth
  The material promotes softness and salivation, which improves comfort and focus.
• Rehabilitation or retraining
  Ideal for regaining confidence or processing bit-related tension or behavioral issues.
• Pulling on reins
  The slight tongue relief, combined with the soft material, makes this bit a suitable option for horses with a sensitive tongue, who may open their mouth, pull on the reins, and move their tongue freely.
• Available in sizes: / 115 mm / 125 mm / 135 mm / 145 mm
• Available with shanks in 5 and 7 centimeters.
• Includes curb chain and hooks

The chain is an important component that distributes pressure between the mouth and chin and prevents over-rotation of the lever action.

NOTE! TPU material is more durable than most rubber bits, but it can still show marks from the teeth of horses that chew excessively on the bit. The bit is therefore not covered by warranty or the right to claim if the damage is caused by the horse biting it.

This bit can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting, delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit in a number of variants.

Material
This bit is made of high-quality TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and combines the softness of rubber with the strength and durability required for daily riding. TPU is known for its exceptional flexibility, durability, and safe properties for horses, making it ideal for horses with sensitive mouths and horses that need more stable contact.

Attachment for double bridle: In the upper part, there are rings for attaching the cheek pieces and hooks for securing the curb chain. In the lower part, there are rings for attaching the curb reins. It works by applying pressure to the lower jaw and poll.
