Fager Gustav Buster Bit Sweet Iron
A buster bit that can be used in two ways: with tongue relief or with bar relief.
For tongue relief – If you would describe your horse as follows:
- Inconsistent in contact, needs to lean more on the bit.
- Pulls the reins down/forward when you pick up the reins.
- Sensitive tongue.
- Tries to put its tongue over the bit/plays with its tongue.
- Difficult mouth.
Bar relief; turn the bit upside down. If you would describe your horse as follows:
- Inconsistent in contact, needs to lean more on the bit.
- Bites the bit, tries to pull it back.
- Can push its head up when you pick up the reins.
- Sensitive bars and/or low palate.
- Available in sizes: 75 mm /85 mm /95 mm /105 mm / 115 mm / 125 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness) / 135 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness) / 145 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness)
Thanks to its smooth joints, this bit is a good option for horses that can overreact when you take up the reins and have difficulty maintaining consistent contact with the bit.
The Fager Gustav buster bit can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit.
Gustav is made with a 100% super smooth surface, even around the joints, which are designed never to interfere with or push against the palate. It is a very comfortable bit that naturally conforms to the tongue and relieves the bars of constant pressure.
