Fager Gustav loose ring bit Sweet Iron;

A loose ring bit that can be used in two ways: with tongue relief or with bar relief.

For tongue relief – If you would describe your horse as follows:

• Inconsistent in contact, needs to lean more on the bit.
• Pulls the reins down/forward when you pick up the reins.
• Sensitive tongue.
• Tries to get its tongue over the bit/plays with its tongue.
• Difficult mouth.

For bar relief; turn the bit upside down. If you would describe your horse as follows:

• Inconsistent in contact, needs to lean more on the bit.
• Chews on the bit, tries to pull it back.
• May push its head up when you pick up the reins.
• Sensitive bars and/or low palate.
• Available in sizes: 75 mm /85 mm /95 mm /105 mm / 115 mm / 125 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness) / 135 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness) / 145 mm (14 and 16 mm thickness)

Thanks to the smooth joints, this bit is a good option for horses that can overreact when you take up the reins and have difficulty maintaining consistent contact with the bit.

The Fager Gustav loose ring bit can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit.

Gustav is made with a 100% super-smooth surface, even around the joints, which are designed never to interfere with or press against the palate. It is a very comfortable bit that naturally molds around the tongue and relieves the bars from constant pressure.
