Fager John baby fulmer snaffle
Fager John baby fulmer snaffle bit
A very versatile type of bit that can suit young horses, young riders and unsteady hands. This type of bit lies stably in the mouth, is gentle on the horse and supports steering.
- Needs to seek more contact with the bit.
- May overreact when you pick up the reins.
- Resistant to maintaining consistent contact.
- Needs to calm down in the mouth.
- Sensitive tongue and bars, may chew on the bit and toss its head.
- Available in sizes: 95 mm / 105 mm / 115 mm / 135 mm / 145 mm
The joints are specially designed to provide much softer pressure on the tongue, making John an extremely comfortable bit. The mouthpiece naturally adapts to the shape of the tongue, relieving the bars of constant pressure.
The Fager John baby fulmer snaffle bit can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting appointment; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit.
Baby Fulmer is a registered design by Fager. This cheekpiece gives you a mix between loose and fixed rings. The Fulmers lie close to the horse's side, aiding in steering and keeping the mouthpiece stable. The loose rings are placed further from the corners of the mouth, and this will exert pressure further down and inwards, encouraging the horse to lift forward, come back to your hand, and prevent a stiff feeling towards the bit. It is a very comfortable choice for many horses and a great start for a young horse. Baby Fulmer is FEI-approved, even for dressage.
