Julia's double-jointed mouthpiece has a tongue relief, which relieves constant pressure. This bit is a good option for horses that are "on and off" in contact. Horses that lean on the bit and where you want consistent contact without the horse becoming numb, stiff, and strong.

The roller is placed further down than the hinges to increase the point pressure on the tongue. Creating pressure when your horse pulls or feels heavy in your hand without creating consistent pressure. The roller also gives horses something to play with, perfect for horses that can be numb on contact.

The Fager Julia loose ring bit can also be tested during a bitfit and/or bridle fit, delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit.

Sweet Iron is a coating on top of a stainless steel bit. The purpose is to mask the metallic taste of stainless steel and create a pleasant, sweet taste, encouraging the horse to seek more contact and accept the bit. After use, sweet iron will begin to oxidize and turn brownish-grey. Sweet Iron is a good choice for horses that need to seek more contact with the bit.
