Fager Marcus Kimblehook Sweet iron;

Suitable for experienced riders with a strong but sensitive horse. Widely used for showjumpers.

The stable feel created by the Fager Marcus Kimblehook can be pleasant for busy and sensitive horses that become strong, unbalanced, and difficult to steer. The Kimblehook applies pressure lower in the mouth, which can help a horse that comes up too high in the neck. Kimblehooks are always used in combination with a chain or strap behind the chin.

Fager's smooth joints are designed never to press against the sides of the palate or create uneven pressure on the corners of the mouth, thus providing milder pressure on the tongue.

The small tongue relief, combined with the smooth joints, makes this bit a good option for horses with a sensitive tongue that may open their mouth, pull on the reins, and move their tongue.

This bit can also be tested during a  bit fitting and/or bridle fitting; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a  test bit.

Please note, horses that are wide at the premolars/teeth may need to go up a size due to the upper shanks. This is because the cheekpiece of the bridle is attached to the upper shank of the bit, which is positioned higher where some horses are wider than others.

The Kimblehook can be used with the fixed ring with the option to add leverage when needed. The further the rein is placed, the more pressure is added and distributed across the chin, neck, and mouth.
