It is very important that a rope halter fits well due to the thin cords of the rope and the sensitive nerve pathways of the horse on the head, see our advice:

– The fastening is on the left. – The knots at the nose should be two fingers below the cheekbones. – The halter should not rest on the nasal bone, it must be on the bridge of the nose. – The ring under the chin should hang about four fingers from the lower jaw. – The halter must be tight enough so that it does not slip down. |
– Open the halter and place the headpiece over your horse's neck, behind the ears. – Noseband over the nose. – Thread the rope through the loop at the cheek (from inside to outside!). – Make a D-shape and pull the rope through behind it. – Tighten the knot towards the neck. – If the halter fits well, the rope should point away from the eye, towards the neck. |
