Waterford Snaffle bit, double jointed, 14mm
Waterford Snaffle, anatomically double-jointed, 14mm
The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, resulting in soft and even pressure distribution. The mouthpiece has a thickness of 14 mm and the bit rings have a diameter of 65 mm.
A Waterford snaffle is a bit with loose bit rings. This type of bit is generally well-accepted because the mouthpiece lies relatively loosely in the mouth. We do recommend using bit guards with it.
In a double-jointed bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the middle piece, the more pressure on the tongue.
