Available in 2 different "hardnesses" of plastic;

* Soft (light green) – primarily for younger and/or sensitive horses that benefit from a soft feel in the mouth.
* Hard (dark green) – for horses that benefit from clearer communication.

• The slight tongue relief, combined with the soft material, makes this bit a suitable option for horses with a sensitive tongue, who may open their mouths, pull on the reins, and move their tongue freely.

PLEASE NOTE! TPU material is more durable than most rubber bits, but it can still show marks from the teeth of horses that chew excessively on the bit. The bit is therefore not covered by warranty or right of claim if the damage is caused by the horse biting on it.

The Fager Andrea Baby Pelham plastic can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit in several variants.

Material
This bit is made of high-quality TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and combines the softness of rubber with the strength and durability needed for daily riding. TPU is known for its exceptional flexibility, durability, and safe properties for horses, making it ideal for horses with sensitive mouths and horses that need more stable contact.

Baby Pelham
The side piece of the Baby Pelham provides a stable feel for horses that tend to become unstable but are still strong. You can use the Baby Pelham with a regular bridle with one or two reins, one in the large fixed ring and one in the small ring. When using with one rein, use an (adjustable) delta strap.

With two reins, you can easily control the desired leverage of the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein attached to the lower ring. With more leverage, you get a slightly lower neck carriage and more effect; with less leverage, you can encourage the horse to carry its neck a bit higher with less effect. With Fager's adjustable delta strap, you have the same choice without having to use two reins.

Chain and hooks are included.

Please note: horses that are wide above the premolars/teeth may need a larger size due to the upper shanks. This is because the bridle's side piece is attached to the bit's upper shanks, which are placed higher, where some horses are wider than others.
