Fager Fanny Titanium Loose Ring Snaffle

A loose ring snaffle made of titanium that can be used in two ways. As a "lockbit" (a bit that locks) – If you would describe your horse as follows:

• It can be inconsistent in the connection; it needs to be more in hand.
• Prefers stability and less movement.
• Needs to be stable but light in contact.
• Drops the bit/falls behind the hand.

Without "lock," if you would describe your horse as follows:

• Can be inconsistent in the connection.
• Can be stiff on a straight bit.
• Pulls the bit back to chew on it.
• Tries to get its tongue over the bit.

Anatomically designed for comfort, Fanny is a lightweight single-jointed bit with our unique Fager Smart System – FSS™. This innovative system locks the bit in every direction to prevent interference with the palate, avoiding the 'nutcracker effect'.

Fanny's design is curved to create space and freedom for the tongue. A horse with a sensitive tongue often opens its mouth, pulls the reins down/forward, and moves its tongue around.

The Fager Fanny Titanium loose ring snaffle can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting appointment. Delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit.

Titanium is a tasteless metal that naturally adapts to the temperature of the mouth, leading to better acceptance of the bit and greater comfort for the horse. We typically recommend a titanium bit for horses with sensitive mouths who may react to other metals, for example with red marks or sores, despite soft contact from the hands.

Titanium gives a super light feel in the hand and quicker response compared to a heavier bit, especially when combined with the correct mouthpiece for the individual horse.
