Fager Kevin bustrens
Fager Kevin Loose Ring Stainless Steel:
Kevin is a double-jointed stainless steel bit with a special lock-up function. The mouthpiece has a tongue relief but locks upwards, which can be beneficial for horses with low palates and sensitive tongues that still prefer tongue relief.
The bit does not lock forward like a normal lock-up bit, meaning you don't get the stiff feeling of a straight bit. The hinges are turned away from the tongue, providing softer, smoother pressure on the tongue. This can be good for horses that tend to overreact when you take up the reins and need to maintain consistent contact with every movement.
- May be anxious in the mouth but become too stiff on straight bits
- Resists softening into the bit.
- May overreact when you take up the reins
- May go on and off the contact
- Available in sizes: 105 mm / 115 mm / 125 mm / 135 mm / 145 mm
If you're looking for a gentle, kind bit for a sensitive horse, we recommend trying Fager Kevin.
The Fager Kevin loose ring snaffle can also be tested during a bit fitting and/or bridle fitting; delivery time for a new bit is approximately 5 working days. It is also available as a test bit. Please note, the basic line does not include a velvet bag.
Fager Kevin Loose Ring Stainless Steel:
Kevin is a single-jointed stainless steel snaffle. Fager's Basic line offers the same great quality and elaborate designs, but with a more affordable standard stainless steel material.
